Okay, whatever that was. Yay, eureka! NPCC Secondary Ones & Twos including WeiTing & I have sucessful obtained our one-star kayaking course, except for some that didn't complete the entire two-day course. It was much fun since I haven't basked into the Sun due to exams. & It was a superb workout as well for our bodies, since I have very much been a couch potato when I had nothing to do. Kayaking first time for some of the Secondary Ones & Twos, I guess this would have been a very good experience, strengthening them in terms of water confidence. Let me refresh what I have learnt from the course.

1. Front + Back paddle (which we had already covered in last year's ATC)
2. Drawing (J draw & Classic draw in specific)
3. Sweep (360 degrees, includes a front sweep & a backwards sweep)
4. Capsize drills (we were exposed to it during ATC but this time we got to do it like, on our own)
5. Rescuing (which was really technical, painstaking)

I guess the best part was learning how to capsize cos' it scared the shit outta' me originally. But once we got the hang of it, I couldn't stop capsizing on purpose. To sum it all up, I think shifting/carrying the kayaks were the most irking part. Especially after we've rafted for more than 3hrs under the scorching hot ball.

Overall it was really fun. WeiTing & I became twins today. Pictures here!





P.S: The fibre glass from the kayak's paddle & body itself is hurting a lot. Like, biting into my skin.
