Nutcracker Performance Details :D

10th October 2008
8.52pm

Hello people :D Let me first & foremost, declare delightfully that:

I HAVE FINISHED MY DAMN END OF YEAR EXAMS!
Not that I won't have anymore of them, besides, its O's next year, let's just be contented with what we've finally finished after so long :D So, Emath down today, felt a burden off the shoulder full force. Can you believe it, people? We've been paranoid about what we've failed to finish revising a few days ago & now its done & over? Oh my gosh. I love this airy feeling :D

By the way, I found this on SDT's webbie :D Freshly baked from the oven! For those keen to have a very merry Christmas, do purchase tickets for the upcoming SDT production, THE NUTCRACKER!

12 to 13, 17 to 20 December 2008
Esplanade Theatre
8 pm

In this enchanting fairytale ballet that is set in a joyous Christmas’s eve occasion, The Nutcracker is a light-hearted tale of adventure and courage featuring Clara and her adventures after she receives a beautifully-crafted nutcracker doll from Dr Drosselmeyer.

At the stroke of midnight, the Nutcracker doll comes alive and comes to her rescue when her room is invaded by an army of rats. The King Rat is defeated by the Nutcracker Doll, and The Nutcracker is transformed into a Prince. The Nutcracker Prince then treats Clara to a magical journey through the Kingdom of Sweets, where she is enchanted with sights of Spain, France, Istanbul, Russia, China and Holland and later greeted by the Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy.

With an alternating cast of 200 dancers dressed in colourful costumes, fascinating projections, an animated backdrop and stage sets for the enthralling scenes of Land of Snow, Kingdom of Sweets, and more, this mega-production promises to be a spectacular Christmas treat for the entire family.

Ticket Prices: $48, $68, $88, $108, $138 (VIP box)
