"Fame is a bee.
Fame Is A Bee - Emily Dickinson
Is it really such a phenomena to see me online at the crack of dawn, or maybe early afternoon? Lolz, I guess I'm really a nocturnal blogger. I just can't imagine seeing time go down the drain as I touch this computer, its too, WASTED.
By the way, ocean of thanks to Reina for adding fuel to my already raging passion for ballet. She totally inspired me today by bringing a very resourceful piece of material from the Australian Ballet School website. The syllabus that they cover is simply attractive, including theatrical make-up to drama to pas de deux to music & that's not even half the list. But of course, how can we simply put off the heart-wreching fact that it costs a bomb just to be a student there?
Let's just keep of fingers crossed & stay sanguine about the chances that Mum will let me go.
Btw, Reina & I went to lots of places today to get lots of ballet stuff. We went to Golden Landmark first, I got my pair of tights & Reina gave me her pair of leather split sole cos' she bought them but couldn't fit into them.
Costume shop sells leotards in a plethora of colours!
Walked over to Stage Image afterwards in search of another split sole for Reina but the one that they offered didn't have the cloth thing at the sole.
Took a train down to Somerset to Sonata which was originally where Reina got her pair of split soles which are now mine but guess what, they were out of stock. Reina should seriously just try the Tampines branch this Sunday.
Nutcracker today was just one hour & we did our routine again. Super funny now that the settings were supposed to be "imagined" & we had to squat down to squeeeze through the tunnel to get up on stage. Tomorrow's rehearsal would be full dress + make up so I'm gonna bring a packet of make-up removal. I hope the make up won't make us look like seventh month ghost. We can't go on stage w/o make-up. We'll look really nondescript & even more ghastly. I'll attach photos if I manage to take some.
Reina & I were crossing a road to get to Plaza Singapura when this conversation tickled me.
Reina: Vivien, look, this road is totally useless.
Vivien: Why?! (Scratches head)
Reina: Look at the road name!
Stunning, as ever.
