First & foremost,
BON VOYAGE, SHUHAO!
When all of us thought we'd be feeling cold-blooded & not shedding a tear for Shuhao, we felt emotionally challenged by his departure. Though he's not exactly leaving yet but his flight is setting off early Monday morning at 1am. Maybe those who would really be missing him should send him off at the airport & camp overnight in school after that.Met Chipmunk at 3 o'clock in Tampines Mall. The rain was crying cos of Shuhao's departure until it made everyone shiver. It was terribly cooooold in the mall. Ate LJS & studied a bit. Looked around for a suitable farewell gift for Shuhao & we chanced upon a lucky "I LOVE SINGAPORE" shirt in Giordano. Hopefully he'll love 3B too.
Shuhao, JingJie, Kevin (damn curious) & Chipmunk.
Planned to settle down at "Jia Xiang Mian" to have a meal but later decided to packet it away & watch fireworks. So we were making a big scene at the eatery, with the waitresses shoo-ing us to "excuse me". That's the thing about a big group. We never find seats & even if we do, we won't find enough seats. So we ordered what we wanted & waited awhile outside before we went back to claim. WeiTing was skidding around the wet ground as if she was a bowling ball & we were her pins.
John started to exchange bag with Kevin's VISA bag which traps air & puffs up whenever you try to compress the air away. Lolz. Found a relatively dry area to sit on for our dinner cos' Shuhao had to leave early. "Jia Xiang Mian" all dried up cos of too much walking. The crowd was unbearable & we didn't even know there were fireworks today. Lolz. Finished eating & requested someone to help us snap a group photo.
John in brown, Yinsoon in white, Lewis in red, Keving twisting, William in black squatting, YanJing hugging his bag, Shuhao with arm on YanJing, Jingjie twisting beside Kevin, Victor above WeiTing, WeiTing in overalls, & Vivien in yellow.
Unfortunately, Shuhao left before the firework display. Which would have created a wonderful grand finale for all of us, & leave Shuhao with a much more complete memory of Singapore & all of us. The fireworks were breathtaking, & really romantic. But more of exciting with friends so everyone was yelling. John took down the entire fireworks, with wonderful background music featuring Yinsoon's "Its damn nice, can?" & my, "Walao, damn nice leh. Its so cool!" & WeiTing's, "That's damn gay!". Hahaha. Just looking @ the fireworks blasting into the musky clouds made me feel touched. It just shoots into air, bombards into tiny specks, which sometimes ignites into even tinier pops, or levitates in mid air before finally vanishing between space. First time seeing this, first time feeling touched by the fireworks. How mesmerizing!
Fought among the crowd after the display. This is how kiasu Singaporeans are. Walking in opposing direction would be as near as being trampled over. Managed to squeeze & got home safely. I hope Shuhao recognises our sincerity.
If only time will freeze then & there. Maybe I'd be encapsulated between bliss. Then, things would be different & I won't be feeling this way. If only I've reacted in another way, I won't be doubting. The fireworks really left me speechless, & shut me up too. Yeah you're right, tomorrow will be a better day :) I'm sorry.
Goodbye all, & Shuhao :) 3B's gonna miss you!
