"Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer."
Thunder, Boys Like Girls.
In the blink of an eye, I'm once again back home, cuddling Hirobear (my pink carebear). SSA camp was a blast. Returning to Camelot serves as an avenue to catch up with old friends. Its amazing how things aren't very much different in camp. We're still as crazy & hyper as ever. Perhaps inclining even more in our vibes. I bet my kidneys. If all full 20 of us from batch 07 are called back, this camp would very much be a out of control one.Thunder, Boys Like Girls.
I felt really disheartened when I saw batch 08 when we were reporting for camp. Thought that they were never gonna make it to our standard of bonding. All of them were in their own little cliques. Camelot again, breathing the air there simply reminded me of past memories. All our funky nicknames attached to every single one of us. Instructors this time round's not the same.
I can't remember every single intricate detail of the camp so I shall just summarise that being a facilitator this time round felt way different from being a participant. We delegate jobs instead of executing commands now, & we impart knowledge instead of acquiring knowledge. By day 2, much of the 18 batch 08 managed to get into the groove & finally opening up & melting their ice. Couldn't see much of their hostility either.
Campfire was totally bonkers. High to the topmost level. I can't even describe it. High to the point till losing my voice didn't matter at all.
Positioning as a facilitator, we were entitled the privilege to carry our phones with us so I have photos. Trying the high elements were different this time round. Finally had our go at challenge pole & the log thing. My fear of height bobbed up only when I realise how high above ground I am. Nerve wrecking.
Bob & HanMing got really aroused upon seeing some girl wrapping herself only in a towel & skipping happily up & down the steps. Sick to the core. Can't she tell we are trying hard to swallow our dinner? Revolting. I can't help but to laugh at every single antic of Bob.
"Well, what can I say?"
18 participants, 10 facilitators, we made up SSA 2008 :D
I'm tired. Photos up!
WeiTing in Bob's jacket which costs 50 bucks.
Facilitators (left to right): Gerald, WeiTing, Bob/Farhan/Father Pigeon, HanMing, Mengwei, Dahiyah, Jiahui, Vivien & Rachel :D
Threesome Awesome! We were really slack when batch 08 were having their course.
Yijun reading Eclipse, WeiTing on the phone with Mom & Mengwei stoning like nobody's business.
I love this photo to bits.
