Stranger, Secondhand Serenade.
Snip snip, I just clipped my nails to keep it within satisfying length for tomorrow' training. I shudder thinking about the nerve-wrecking PDS. I will probably be the klutzy one dropping & flinging my rifle at my poor squadmates.
I feel so good after catching up with old pals today. SSA camp briefing. This year, batch 2007 will be going as facilitators for batch 2008. Meeting Bob once again really sparked off my enthusiasm for SSA :D Briefing today was kind of different. We are now sitting there listening at things that were once told to us a year ago. Just that we are now reporting camp as a senior, someone who's suppose to know the regulations & rules of the game. & I'm excited. Really.
So let's see. Majority of those who volunteered to come back came for briefing today, except Rachel who had HTA stuff to do. That amounted to 9 out of 10 of 20. 10 out of 20 of us 2007 batch volunteered to go back & only 9 came today, excluding Rachel.
After briefing, Bob, Yijun, WeiTing & I searched for booties (kayaking shoes). First stop, thanks to Bob, was the fruitless Bedok army shop. The stallkeeper told us to ring the Tampines branch up but Bob dialled the wrong number, which we all roared in laughter. Tampines branch required us to book & collection was on Thursday but our camp's gonna be on Wednesday, so that, was out too.
Challenged, the foursome went over to Lavender, which we were pretty much confident in getting our essential paraphenalia for wet activities. Finally got what we wanted after a really tiring trip. Yijun left first so Bob, WeiTing & I sat down to eat & chat. Contents rather explicit so I shan't spill the beans.
I'm so anticipating camp right now. I wish Wednesday would come soon. I wish tomorrow will come soon too, there's Nutcracker :)
