Influenza Frenzy

13th November 2008
6:09pm

My health has finally taken its toll on me. It has finally given in to the heavy schedule these few weeks, which was supposed to be a very joyful holiday. First off, Dad's caught the flu bug & unknowingly passed it to me. I barely saw him face to face these few days, only when he sent me to school, so this explains how highly contagious this bug is.

I feel so accomplished after Tuesday. I tried on my soldier costume for the first time. Each pair's suppose to share the costume between themselves so I have to watch my diet before I burst Elizabeth's costume. After rehearsal that day, Reina, Janelle & I stayed back for Chihiro's lessons. (She's Clara in the Nutcracker performance). She taught Advance 1 but the work she gave was fine. But she's really good at working our technique, which was why Tuesday was such a strenous work out. The class basically consisted of working adults, or housewives, I believe. So we were rather out of place. But we were there to practice & experience, so it didn't quite matter.

Wednesday was school as per normal & I am sincerely appreciative of Lowe, WeiLiang & Shanyi for liberally offering me packets of tissue when I am seriously in need of them. Yinsoon's tissue dispensal is having its off day now, therefore its fruitless asking him. But really, thank you guys. Basketball after that with Choonsiang, WeiTing, Lixuan, Victor, YinSoon, WeiLiang & Wayne. Didn't seem to feel weak through the game so it was still very much okay. The debility kicked in only when I got home & started to feast through "Twilight" which I borrowed happily from Yohana.

I'm in love with Edward Cullen! :D As we all know, Thursday is the longest day of the week, & being really a brainy class of students, 3B's attendance amounted to only 12. Hahaha, which was very much a joke. But since I was sick, I met WeiTing to visit the doctor. Initally wanted to visit my family one who kept all my records, but sadly he was closed for lunch & we headed to another one at block 201. Really big thank you to WeiTing, for following me to & fro.

Managed to rip a two-day off MC from the doctor, which was bravo cos' Lewis says that Dr Boon's gonna see all that didn't come today. Too bad :D Haha!

You know, its amazing how fate sometimes sweeps us off our feet. I can't believe I actually saw you eating fries today, just when I thought Tampines was the least expected place to find you. Haha, I'm grateful though, to see you before the arrival of Tuesday. Chihiro's class up on Tuesday again, Reina & I can't wait.

Btw, did I mention I got a $59.90 Carebear for free for doing a really kind deed? I was at Plaza Singapura a few days back changing to my leotard in the toilet when I spotted a phone lying sinfully on top of the toiletpaper roll. I looked at it hesitantly, deciding whether to take it or just leave it there. I figured out that leaving it there would definitely open the door of other greedy pigs to take it & sell it off for a fortune so I took it away & asked Reina if I should surrender it to the information counter. She told it'd be the same, they'll just take it & use it so I skimmed through the phone's contact list & saw the word 'brother' in chinese. Called that number but it was some China number so I called up her recent called contact which I believe is her friend or something. Explained to her that this is not a wrong number call & she told me she'll try to contact the owner's husband. Met him at the foodcourt in Plaza Singapura & this really thankful man gave me this pink Carebear. I think he probably thinks that I'm such a artless person.

So now that pink Carebear sits peacefully on my bed, reminding me everytime I go to bed that a good deed is never unappreciated. Let's just hope the next time I lost my phone, that China man will chance upon it & return it to me.
